Definitions • Sportsmanship – playing to the rules of the game with a concept fair play e.g. a batsman accepting an LBW even if it was unnoticed by the umpire. • Gamesmanship – playing within the rules of the game, but playing them to your advantage e.g. you are winning during extra time so you time waste & kick the ball out of touch.
Task • Is chess a sport? • Taking into consideration the characteristics of a sport make a table to determine whether or not chess is considered to be a sport.
