Client Data Reports (Zonal)Survey ResultsJuly 18, 2008 Art Deller – WCS
CDR Survey • Summary: • ERCOT sent a 5 question survey to all current recipients of the CDR files and all QSE Primary contacts. (~147 entities, ~230 QSEs and sub-QSEs) • 58 Responses, 47 Entities (~20%) • ERCOT sends 140 CDRs for every statement.
Results – Question 4 • “No additional measures because we primarily rely on Data Extracts” • “XX does not use the Data Extracts at all. The lack of this information may cause XX to make assumptions that may result in additional and unnecessary disputes.” • “We would have to revamp our processes which would take time and money.” • “It will take a business solution to process various information, which is not desirable for us” • “Nothing, they are just for backup purposes for our Settlements Dept”
Results – Question 5 • “We are not planning to deploy our own solution but will do so if necessary.” • “True -if the extracts are all that will be available.” • “If Client Data Reports will no longer be provided, we will need to determine a solution for using the extracts.” • “Nodal business solution has not been determined”
Where do we go from here? • CDRs can not be produced in the Nodal Market due to volume of data, time, security, etc. • New Settlements MODE and CODE extracts will provide MP’s load, generation and settlements data by Operating Day • Continue producing CDRs for Zonal Settlements until Zonal market is no longer settled.
