  2. A Change is Coming . . . September 1, 2012 The TCCX District will be upgrading to the new Internet-based version of Colleague UI 4.3 The old desktop version will not be available X

  3. The New Colleague! The new Internet-based version boasts many new benefits: • Performance improvements • Enhanced security • Window and form area resizing and zooming • Easier navigation • Keyword search vs. pneumonic input • Improved search capability • Favorites for people and forms

  4. Workstation Requirements For all users of Colleague UI 4.3: • Internet browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Mozilla, etc.) • Java 1.6.0_11 or higher installed • Microsoft Silverlight • Disable ALL pop-up blockers (i.e. Yahoo, MSN, etc.)

  5. Accessing Colleague UI 4.3 Now, let’s begin . . . • Log on to your workstation computer • Access Internet Explorer or other Internet browser • In the address bar, type www.webui.tccx.edu • Click BEGIN to log on

  6. Log On to Colleague UI 4.3 • At the log on screen, enter your current Colleague USER IDand PASSWORD • Click LOGIN

  7. Troubleshooting Colleague Before launching UI 4.3 for the first time, you will need to: • Disable ALL pop-up blockers *Do not forget to disable any third-party toolbars that may have additional popup blockers (i.e. MSN, Yahoo, etc.)

  8. Troubleshooting Colleague (cont.) Steps to disable pop-up blockers: • Click on TOOLS from the Menu Bar • Click POP-UP BLOCKER • Click TURN OFF POP-UP BLOCKER

  9. Troubleshooting Colleague (cont.) • In order to use Colleague UI 4.3, you may also need to install the Microsoft Silverlight browser plug-in • The prompt to install will appear on the first login

  10. Troubleshooting Colleague (cont.) Steps to install Microsoft Silverlight: • Click to begin installation

  11. Troubleshooting Colleague (cont.) • Click OK • Click INSTALL NOW

  12. Troubleshooting Colleague (cont.) • Click RUN • Click RUN

  13. Troubleshooting Colleague (cont.) • Click INSTALL NOW If asked to allow the program to make changes to your computer, answer Yes • After installation, click CLOSE

  14. Troubleshooting Colleague (cont.) • Click OK Completely close your Internet browser by clicking the red X in the upper right hand corner • Restart the Internet browser to access the new Colleague UI 4.3 window

  15. You are ready to use Colleague Now let’s move on to Lesson 2 to learn about the various components of the screen
