What Meteorologists Do • Meteorologists study the atmosphere to find out how the weather is going to be that day/in the future • Meteorologists on the radio/TV are pretty much journalists • Meteorologists use a range of satellites, weather balloons, radars, sensors and weather stations to study wind strength, temperature, humidity and air pressure • They also analyze and monitor the pollution in the air

  3. How to be a Meteorologist • You have to know math (Calculus I, Calculus II, etc.) • You have to take a certification test • You also need a bachelor degree in meteorology

  4. Technology Meteorologists Use • Radars • Satellites • Sensors • Weather balloons

  5. How This Job Uses Math • You have to calculate wind speed, how strong a storm is, etc. • You have to calculate where a storm is going • In order to make their charts and graphs to analyze data they have
