By putting the SEED Manuals online we will be saving approximately $20,000 per year in printing costs. We will also be able to reach the students in the outlying areas This will allow us to reach all perspective candidates in a timely manner, including the students in the outlying areas. Processing of the forms will also be a much easier task since all the information will be in electronic format

UPDATE PROCEDURE FOR EACH CORE AREA WEB ADMINISTRATOR NATIONAL MEMBER AKEB USA CHAIRMAN UPDATE WEB SITE The content for each core area will be updated only by the National Member responsible for that particular core area. The National Board Member will submit the updates to the National Chairperson. Once the National Chairperson has approved the content the Web Administrator will make the necessary content updates to the Web Site. This ensures that the content placed on the Web Site has passed through the necessary checks and that the updates are handled securely. The passwords for the Web Site will only reside with the National Chairman, the National Board Member responsible for Lifelong Learning and the Web Administrator. This will ensure that no unauthorized changes are made to the web site and will prevent from the Web Site being hacked
SECURITY The Web Site will be placed on a secure site with a reputable, well established Internet Service Provider. The site will reside on a secure server of the Internet Service Provider (ISP) with password access to the content area of the Web Site, as well as the email accounts. The only people with passwords will be the Chairperson of AKEB USA (Aziz Valliani), Member, AKEB USA In charge of Lifelong Learning (Dr. Khalid A. Mohamedali), and the Web Site Administrator. Once the content has been approved by the Chairman of AKEB USA, the Web Admin will be the only one authorized to make the changes to the Web Site itself. This will provide a controlled process and will ensure that the information being presented on this web site is approved, and has passed through a system of checks and balances. All the feedback areas on the web site will be in a form that is emailed directly to the National Board Member that it pertains to. The web server will support SSL (Secured Socket Layer: Secure way to transfer data across the internet between the browser and the web server) to ensure that all transactions are secure. The ISP selected will be reputable and reliable. The ISP will not provide any free chat sites or news groups. The ISP will provide a secure environment to host the Web Site. AKEB USA will be given monthly reports on the number of hits made to the web site and which locations these hits came from. There will also be a log made by a script on the web site that will record the IP address of the user access to the web site. This will give us demographic information on the user base accessing the web site.
