What is the change? • Instead of emailing or faxing the phytosanitary certificate, air waybill / bill of lading etc, invoice and where importer is not as declared on the phyto – proof of change of ownership, we ask you to scan and upload these documents as files. • Still need to send us the original phytos • Option to uploading is sending us originals to do checks on. Will take us longer to clear goods – only accept Mon – Fri, 08:30 – 17:00; priority to existing on line applications with docs uploaded.

Why the change? • Speedier Doc and ID checks – • no re-naming of emails with faxed docs • no searching for docs in email box • access docs directly from PHSI work screen • Saves cost of e-fax system • Increased efficiency in Fera • Keep charges to trade as low as possible • Increase Doc & ID checks nearer to what legislation requires to address EU Commission criticism of current achievements
