Your Role Communion Stewards will be allocated a specific position in the park for the distribution of Communion. This will consist of a zone number and a position number e.g. zone 8 position 12. Communion Stewards should lead the Priest or Eucharistic Minister directly to that position. Crucially, ministers should not be allowed to distribute communion until they have arrived at the allocated position. Please be firm. Communion Stewards will be issued with Yellow Umbrellas to mark their position in the park.
Stewards at the front of the Park Priests will be led from their seats to the Communion Steward. Each steward will then be partnered with a priest and will lead that priest directly to the allocated position.
Stewards towards the middle of the Park Stewards towards the middle of the park will be able to partner a Eucharistic Minister in good time for the beginning of communion. Eucharistic Ministers will be gathered in zones 12 and 13.
Beginning and Ending Communion • Priests or Communion Ministers and Communion Stewards will begin moving as soon as the Our Father is finished. • Once Communion is complete, you should escort the minister to the Blessed Sacrament Tents marked on the next plan in Yellow. At this point priests only will receive communion from the chalice before returning to their places. Stewards should return to original positions.
