  1. What are Fasteners, and How Are They Categorized? Fasteners The word itself means that a fastener that is used to fasten something. Fasteners are small or large devices that help to combine two objects, let it be wood, metal, steel, or any other product. These are used widely in various industries. Depending upon the nature of the product fasteners are classified into two: permeant and non- permanent. Categories of fasteners Permanent fastener: These types of fasteners involve joining two objects permanently, like Rivets and Nails.
