  1. “a one day trip to Alaska” By: Malachi Sessions The Amazing Inuits

  2. Hi my name is Aklaq it means “black bear”. I'm part of the Inuit tribe. My family and I live in the Alaska region (of the United States). It is the year of 1920. Introduction

  3. Hello I know you're wondering how we build houses in such cold weather ,I’ll tell you. When we are about to go hunting we pack up everything and go. Of course I don’t do the hunting , dad does. I stay in the igloo with mom. The igloo is not our permanent home its only temporary. We make the with large blocks of ice, we put all the blocks together and make sphere shaped homes. Well kind of. We make our cloths out of the skins of the animals that we eat. Usually we have multiple layers because, of the climate. We hunt arctic animal due to the tiny bit of vegetation. We do lots of storytelling of mythology, and dancing. Journal Entry #1

  4. Hello again. As you know , I live in Alaska. Most of my fellow Inuits live in the arctic circle. We mostly live in Northern Canada, Alaska, and Siberia. Sometimes we are called Eskimos which means “raw meat eaters”. Dad said he saw some polar bears and arctic foxes up north. I've seen wolf pack roam central Alaska, that’s where we hunt. Tonight my mom said she was going to cook cut throat trout fish. Alaska is boardered by British Columbia in Canada. We are very far away from the equator. I kind of wished I was an Aztec who lived in Mexico, near the equator. Alaska is the largest state in the United States. Anchorage is the big city that I want to go to, but mom says too young for traveling so far. I asked why we had to be by the tundra grass, she said “it’s the only grass here”. I've heard stories about Mount McKinley, they say its right in front of Wonder lake with nice grass. The capital of Alaska is Juneau. Journal entry #2: geography

  8. A FEW MONTHS LATER. We are running out of food and I can’t take it any more! Dad and mom are hunting but its taking them extra long, I just think it because it’s so cold here. (today is my birthday, I’m turning 13) I’m so scared that we will run out of food and die, like the Aztecs that are being attacked in Mexico. Reflection#1

  9. I think I will get a good grade because I tried my hardest and put a big portion of my brain into this, which made me forget about all the other things I had to Reflection#2
