  2. LOSWG • First Meeting Since May 2004 • Meeting Objectives • Assess the Level of Interest • Close/Report Outstanding Actions • Explore/Brainstorm Issues Relevant/Worthy of LOSWG Attention • Revitalize LOSWG as Appropriate

  3. LOSWG • 17 in Attendance • Only 5 Non-FAA/AST • 2 State Spaceports • 1 USAF • 2 Non-public • No Commercial Launch Industry Participants (Non-COMSTAC)

LOSWG • Conclusions • LOSWG Remains an Important Forum to Elicit Commercial Space Industry Concerns for Use in Advising FAA/AST • There Were No Outstanding Issues Requiring Resolution in the LOSWG • Several New Issues Were Identified That Will Have Significant Impact on Range/Spaceport Operations and the Regulatory and Safety Policy Environment

  5. LOSWG • Actions • Appoint a Permanent Chair • Frame the Newly Identified Issues as Problem Statements to be Addressed by LOSWG • Identify/Invite Participation by Key Contributors • Report Progress at October Meeting
