DEVICE USING MULTIPLE RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES(DUMRES) PCT Patent Application Pub.No.: WO/2014/056049 JOSIP BILIĆ Sarajevo, May 2014
PATENT STATUS Int. Patent Application: PCT/BA2012/000008 Publication date: 17 April 2014 Patent rights till: 2032 Patent Claims: • Device for simultaneous use of solar, wind, and wave energy; • Plant for Storing and Using Wave Energy with Buoyancy Force Regulation; • Integrated System of Bearings and Power Transmission (ISBPT); • Vertical-Axis Wind Turbine with two Rotors that turn around a Cylinder; • Dual-axis Sun Tracker with Staggered Platform; • Synergy between devices and energy storage. Each claim meets the requirements for patent - B2B. Content is available at: www.wipo.int/patentscope/search/en/structuredSearch.jsf. (Search For: WO/2014/056049 or PCT/BA2012/000008)
MAIN ADVANTAGES OFTHE NEW TECHNOLOGY • Dual-axis Sun Tracker with Staggered Platform: • Precisely follows the path of the sun, thus increasing the efficiency of solar energy utilization by 30-40%; • Collectors from the front row do not overshadow the collectors behind; • Easy access and simple maintenance; • The rotating parts are in the center of gravity and there is no expenditure of energy for lifting the weight; • Can operate under very strong wind gusts. • Vertical-Axis Wind Turbine with two Rotors that turn around a Cylinder: • Produces more energy per m² of swept area; • Rotors operate at low wind speed; • Resistant to wind gusts from all directions; • Does not have to turn toward the direction of the wind; • The blades do not create noise; • Provides option of upgrading the installed capacity; • Low fabrication costs of a Power Transmitter. • The Plant for Storing and Using Wave Energy with Buoyancy Force Regulation: • All waves can be exploited; • Wave energy can be stored and used when needed; • Does not require adjustment.
MAIN GOALS • Design and develop project documentation for a working prototype; • Produce and put into use a working prototype; • Test the prototype in working conditions; • Analyze the market, draft the project documentation and production cost estimate for commercial products; • Establish a partnership cluster for commercial production; • Organize production and produce four different demonstration prototypes; • Install a demonstration field that will present all commercial models; • Introduce an innovative business model.
CATEGORIES OF NEW PRODUCTS • 5 kW for individual households • 60 kW for residential buildings with flat roof • 110 kW for industrial plants • 300 kW for industrial plants • 5 MW for large offshore/onshore energy producers The windturbine designed for testing in a wind tunnel
FORMSOF COOPERATION • Partnership through investment in a joint venture • License Agreement for a particular area - B2B • Agreement on partial or complete purchase of patent rights - B2B
INVESTMENT IN JOINT VENTURE Over thenext 3 years: • Completion of Patent Procedure on four continents (€ 40.000); • Designing and prototyping (€ 90,000); • Design and production of technical documentation for four different power products (€ 75,000); • Organizing production at existing companies (€ 65,000); • Construction of four different demonstration prototypes for operation (the demonstration field would be connected to the electricity network) (€ 730,000); • Testing and obtaining necessary permits (€ 90,000); • Market research and marketing activities on 4 continents (€ 550,000); • Annual costs for seven commercial offices on four continents (€ 450,000); • Total investment (€ 2,090,000).
