  3. TODAY: Coat of Arms project due TODAY XC due Friday. • Log in and take the naturalization test http://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/quiz/learners/study-test/study-materials-civics-test/naturalization-self-test-1 • When done, read pages 56-58 & answer the 2 reading checks in your notebook.

PROCESS FOR CITIZENSHIP(I can describe how to become a citizen) • Apply—to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) • Age—18 or older • Resident—In country 5 years, in state 3 months • Moral Character—No crimes • Language—Read, write and speak • Knowledge—History and Government of U.S. • Loyal—Judge asks applicant to take oath • Citizenship Court:--Loyalty oath administered

  5. “American” collage • Find representations of what we are about as a society— • Ideas??? Fast food, cars, clothes, fashion, money, image, youth, good jobs, houses, technology (phones, games, tv), sports, vacations (leisure time) • Come up with a theme • Cut your paper out to represent an icon • Place pictures on it (collage it!!) • Be able to explain it!!!!
