  2. ANNOUNCEMENTS • FUN RUN MONEY DUE FRIDAY! • 6TH & 7TH GRADE ELECTIVE SHEETS FOR NEXT YEAR ON WEDNESDY 4/17

  3. Tests You Will be Taking • California Standards Test (CST) • Tests designed to measure student mastery of the California Academic Content Standards in: - English Language Arts (678) - Mathematics (678) - History (8th only) - Science (8th only)

  5. How are the Test Results Used? • Copies of each student’s individual results are mailed home and to school in SEPTEMBER. • Home • Used by parents to measure your progress. • School • Entered into each student’s permanent file • Used to determine class placement

  11. SPECIAL NOTES… • Cell phones, earbuds, hoods, talking, movies • Testing procedures are DISTRICT mandated NOT SCHOOL mandated • No PEP and No Late Buses

  12. REMEMBER THAT… • Your test results affect your future • Although teachers will tell you “5 minutes left”, TAKE YOUR TIME -ALL TESTS ARE UNTIMED. The bell will ring and you will be escorted to Town Hall to finish.

  13. REMEMBER TO… • BRING SOMETHING TO READ • GET LOTS OF SLEEP ALL WEEK • EAT BREAKFAST • BE AT SCHOOL ON TIME • RELAX AND DO YOUR BEST
