  2. Competency 1.1 • Advocate for client access to the service of the social work • Example: I could help them understand their DUI and Substance abuse inpatient and outpatient programs that we offer at my agency. Make them aware of all possibilities so that my client it well informed.

  3. Competency 1.2 • Practice professional reflection and self-correction to assure continual professional development. • Example: I will refer to the NASW code of ethics at all times.

  4. Competency 1.3 • Attend to professional roles and boundaries • Examples: At as if I am a social worker at all times because that is the role as which I am looking to obtain. But learn to behave as an intern and still keep my boundaries with workers and clients.

  5. Competency 1.4 • Demonstrate professional demeanor in behavior, appearance, and communication. • Example: I will make sure to always dress appropriately and behave according to my agencies policies and procedures.

  6. Competency 1.5 • Engage in career-long learning • Example: Tyr my best to use the NASW code of ethics and my every day work. I will also try to learn things that I will take with me in my future career jobs as a social worker.

  7. Competency 1.6 • Use supervisoin and consulation. • Example: Understand that I am and intern and still learning. So I ajm to be asked to be watched over when doing certain things, especially when I am unsure.
