  3. Example Objective #1: Achieving Academic Standards Action Plan • Create curriculum for each AIS course. • Develop a diagnostic examination designed to assess the preparedness of middle school students entering Schreiber. • Revise grading policy. • Improve communication with parents.

  4. Each Action Plan Item Needs an Implementation Plan or Activity Steps Objective: Achieving Academic Standards Action Plan Item: Create curriculum for each AIS course. Implementation Plan

  5. Each Implementation Plan Must Have a Series of Detailed Steps Action Plan Item: Creation of Curriculum for all AIS courses

  6. Each Implementation Plan Must Have a Series of Detailed Steps Action Plan Item: Improving Communication With Parents

  7. What Makes a Good Action Plan? • It must be clear. • It must be reasonable and “doable.” • The plan must be complete. • The plan must be able to accomplish the goal. • Accountability is vital. • Whenever possible, structures that exist in schools, like committees and departments, should be responsible for the fulfillment of plan items.
