Lesson 3.2Getting Ready To Drive In this lesson you will learn the first steps to driving.
Vocabulary • Key Fob- is a hand-held remote control you can lock or unlock your vehicle. • Target – is a fixed object far out in the distance that appears to e in the center of the path.
Exiting The Vehicle • Keep your foot on the brake until the shift selector is in park. • Shift to park. • Take your foot off the brake.
Chapter 3.3 Starting, Stopping, Steering, and Targeting • Set the parking brake • The shift lever should be in park • Place your right foot on the brake pedal • Insert the key and turn ignition on • Check he gauges, warning lights and fuel supply • Turn on headlights
Chapter 3.4 Driving with a Manual Transmission • Transmission is to convert engine speed into power to turn the wheels of vehicle • Clutch is to connect the rotating engine shaft to the gears in the transmission
