February 2013 Updates: Sharing play time adventures
The girls enjoyed playing together with new technology, old technology and invented technology. It doesn’t matter what they play, it only matters that they are constantly opening and closing circles of meaningful communication!
Hahgoot still won’t share her felt stories with anyone, but she at last shows some interest in Alma’s.
A few times a week we have wild OT style sessions in the afternoon, usually at the end of the week or when Hahgoot comes home with too much stimming behaviours and needs some physical release. Alma was happy to cheer on Hahgoot’s “flying” (right)
They took turns doing the cheerleading part, but Alma needs to work on the “flying” skills...
Hahgoot initiated an obstacle course and taught Alma how to do it.
She then did some changes and taught the new course, but kept tripping over and saying “ouch, oof” as she went through it. Alma did it next and copied exactly all the tripping and “ouch” cries. It was both hilarious and amazing to see Alma’s memory at work! It was also good mirroring for Hahgoot to see her own actions.
In our next presentation: The girls use their super powers for good!
