What is Pinterest? You've been hearing about it everywhere -- Pinterest -- but what is this crazy new website that has everyone buzzing?
Let Me Explain…. You know when you're browsing online and see something you love and don't want to forget? What do you do -- email it to yourself? Print it out and put it in a binder? Bookmark it on your computer? Well, now there's a simple way to organize all of the great things you find online -- from clothes to DIY home ideas to inspiration for your bathroom remodel – on Pinterest! Let’s explore Pinterest together by first viewing a clip on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJzD4vF5dFA&feature=related
Let’s Get Started! Each one of you are going to create a Pinterestaccount and then pin to your own boards! One Step at a Time: Blabberize! 1. Please log on to http://pinterest.com/ 2. Once there you will click on “Join Pinterest”. Complete the following information requested to become a member.
Creating a Board After signing in to your Pinterest account click on the Add+ button in the top-right corner of the Pinterest home page. Click the create a Board option. When prompted, enter the basic information about your board: the name and category, and click Create Board.
Pinning!!! Now you are ready to start pinning! The easiest thing to do on Pinterest is to “repin” something that is already there. As I’m browsing on Pinterest, I find the image of photos on a wall that I want to repin to my own boards. As I hover over the picture with my mouse, the option appears to either “repin”or “like” it. I choose “repin” and it prompts me to categorize it to one of my boards.
Your Fun Assignment! I would like you to create at least two boards and add three pins to each of them! Don’t panic, I will come around to help you if needed
