Materials • Laptop computer with ample disk space, USB, and CD disk drive • PowerPoint (2003 or newer) • Windows Media Player (with latest updates and needed Codecs for e-clips) • Projector for Computer w/ speakers and appropriate connectors • Projector Screen • Overhead projector (optional) • Blank overhead acetate • Overhead markers • Extension Cords • Flipchart easel and Flipchart paper (Nondamaging) tape or use Post-it type flipcharts Markers (medium or broad point) • Pens/Pencils • 3-ring binders with inside pocket and Spines and fronts that allow cardstock cover and spine

Materials continued • Extra copies of handouts being used • Room large enough for some activities • Name card tents for easy identification of participants • Typed on for early registrants • Extras for those that may come unexpectedly • Press releases/brochures • Stephen Covey’s book “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” (recommended reading)

CD with Materials • Audience handout slides • Only a few of the slides will have more detail than the slide projected by the presenter • Presenter slides with Presenter notes • Information about originator • Learning objectives, time allotment, and Materials needed • Presenter notes on left, presenter slide on the right • A few occasions where there are more than one page of presenter notes

  5. CD with Materials • Resources when available in PDF or Word format • Handouts • Word or PowerPoint with ability to be changed

  6. Icons used in the Materials NOTES ON SYMBOLS Embedded in all presentations are symbols related to exercises, to guide your teaching and the actions of the participants. The symbols, which are self-explanatory, are as follows:

  7. E-clips • You will need access to the internet in order to view the E-clips. • You may download the E-clips and link them in the PowerPoint.
