We propose the 26th APAN meeting be held in Queenstown,NZ • 27-31 July 2008 or • 3-7 August 2008 • Hosted by Research and Education Advanced Network New Zealand (REANNZ)

The Millennium Hotel Conference Centre • Located in the heart of Queenstown • Main meeting room seats 288 classroom style or can be made into three smaller rooms • Break out rooms available for smaller meetings • Audio visual equipment including internet access and technician onsite • Business centre available 24 hours • Multi-lingual assistance • 220 accommodation rooms, all with mountain views US$140 ~ US$180 per night

Budgets and Sponsorship A preliminary assessment of the budget and informal sponsorship interests gives REANNZ comfort that the 26th APAN meeting would be able to cover its running costs. Based on: • Nominal US$300 registration; 200 attendees and 50 students • Sponsorship from network and equipment suppliers plus co hosting by Government research and education agencies • Venue costs, delegate packs, dinner and other social functions plus conference administration
