Use it or lose it! • Don’t delay: Use what you’ve learned right away. Don’t lose the skills you’ve developed • Help someone with file management. Teaching something is a good way to move your learning into long-term memory
Cardinal rule • Back-up your files! • No matter how careful you are, tragedies can happen: viruses, hard drive crashes, etc. • Get into the habit of regularly saving files as you work and backing up your files on a regular basis
Get organized! • Get organized - plan out your folder structure • Keep it simple: the fewer initial folders, the easier to find things • Use sub-folders to further organize • Make changes as needed
