Why Fossils are Hard to Quit and its Importance? Fossils are the remnants that trace us back to our ancient history. For many people the term “fossils” conjure up pictures in our mind like bones and shells but it is important to know that fossils can take up different forms. It can be an imprint of a leaf, an insect preserved for medical research, or a footprint of an ancient animal. Fossils help to determine information about the evolutionary relationships of organisms that help in better understanding the science behind variety of species and even for locating fossil reserves. Fossils supply invaluable data in environmental interpretation and provides supporting evidence on how the earth has changed over time. The type of fossil found in a particular location tells us about the environment and geographic conditions. Historians have preserved many artifacts like special fish gills, megalodon teeth, ancient scriptures and structures of bones. Fossils are grouped together by experts to understand in-depth origin of a species and to reconstruct body types of animals that no longer exist in order to derive evolutionary relationship between organisms and their origination. The Growth Factor
In the pre-globalization era, the needs of the humanity were met by solar energy, we used plants to convert into solar energy for heat and light, but as the population grew the world realized that we need a solid base to run the world and that is how fossil fuels became the balance between human energy and industrialization. The biggest transition in the industry was from wood and coal. The usage of coal increased as fuel taking over the biomass to make up half the world’s use. The second transition in the industry was oil, ideal for the use of transportation, allowing the development of combustion engine and the driving factor behind transportation today. Apart from ancient plants, wood, and charcoal, people began to use shark teeth’s specially the megalodon teeth in Florida to trade, collect, and sell. These teeth were held as valuable because of their uses in war and weaponry items like spearhead, cut food, and carve wood. When industrialization began, the environment started to suffer due to increase in pollution and climate levels, science explicitly explains the remake of our energy system thereby eliminating carbon-dioxide emissions. The political organizations all around made a global impact to preserve the energy and reduce the pollution by signing agreements. Closing Thoughts In the United States, the challenge was to provide cleaner energy by reducing the greenhouse gas energy emissions from our intensive lives. The need to follow this path magnifies the challenge. To achieve this challenge the world needs to forego and lessen their dependency on oil and other fossil fuels.
