  1. Curtain Wall Design & Wall Assembly Trends John Sturdevant-Vice President of Architecture Heitmann & Associates Inc. This presentation will focus on the key principles to be aware of while designing with curtain wall systems. The will touch on the most common mistakes made in construction documents when detailing curtain wall assemblies, the most common mistakes made in shop drawings for Curtain wall assemblies, and the most common errors made on the jobsite in regards to curtain wall installation. This presentation will also touch briefly on emerging trends in wall assemblies. The program will present basic science concepts dealing with air barrier applications, discuss the different types of air barriers available in the market place and their appropriate application.
