What is Frame Scaffolding? What are its Advantages? Frame scaffolding is considered as one of the most common types of scaffolding that can be seen on construction sites all around the world. Frame scaffolding is usually manufactured from round tubing and is available in various configurations, right from a section that comprises of both ladder and a walk- through portal to sections that are totally walkthrough and even those that resemble a ladder. However the construction of frame scaffolding involves the use of two sections of the scaffold frame connected by two crossed sections of support poles arranged in a square configuration. Workers usually assemble the scaffolding by climbing up the sections as they carry the next frame and pole components with them. Moreover, the pins rising out of the corner poles of a section of frame scaffolding fit into recesses in the bottom of the corner poles of the section being stacked onto the lower part. Pin clips are placed through the connection in order to prevent the sections from coming apart. Boards or the aluminum planks are placed across the completed frame scaffolding sections in order to provide the workers a place to stand while assembling the next section of the scaffolding. However, the bottom most section of frame scaffolding is usually set upon the threaded stands that comprise of large-winged adjustment nuts. And the scaffolding is further adjusted by turning the nuts until and unless the desired level is reached. The sections of frame scaffolding not only provide the worker a place to work from, but also it acts as a ladder to allow workers to reach a desired height. Ropes hung from the top most part of the scaffolding enable workers to hoist materials up to their working level. However, when dealing with heavy materials like concrete clocks, a power hoist is used to help in raising the materials to reach to the required level. Let us have a look at the advantages of Frame Scaffolding: Frame scaffolding structure is reasonable and its performance is exceptional when compared with others. Assembly and disassembly of frame scaffolding during construction is quite easy, thus saving time and labor. Frame scaffolding is safe, reliable and affordable too. Frame scaffolding has a high carrying capacity because of its steel strength. Frame scaffolding is usually brought to the construction sites with the help of trucks because of various scaffolding sections, cross poles and locking pins that are required on any job. The fast erection and dismantling of frame scaffolding along with its high-strength steel tubing makes it stand out from the rest.
