Civil Airworthiness Authorities Relationship Strategy • Strategic Purpose: • Enhance safety and quality by the international airworthiness authorities and industry leaders working together to establish a system where aircraft product and parts: • Can be manufactured and maintained almost anywhere • Move quickly and seamlessly to the end item user • Are supported by electronic documentation • There is no more than one airworthiness authorities action for each industry activity to eliminate duplication • Stakeholders: • Airworthiness Authorities • IAQG members involved in civil aviation • Civil Aviation supply chain • suppliers, distributors, airlines, MROs, etc.

Authorized Release Certificate (ARC) • Authorities Global Manufacturing Authorized Release Certificate (ARC) (FAA Form 8130-3, EASA Form 1, TC Form 24-0078) Initiative: • Objectives: • Improve mutual acceptance of the ARC • Solve current implementation problems • Address electronic exchange of ARC • Significant events: • Industry participation on Authorities’ Team • Mutual agreement to delete Block 9, “Eligibility” from Form • Timeline: • Drafting teams forming now • First draft due September 2006 (7th Int’l P&A Meeting) • Final draft due April 2007 • Implementation 4th quarter 2007

Project Scope • Harmonize 9100 series documents with AQAP and other defense agency documents (existing and future) • Develop and execute a plan to contact all potential adopting defense agencies in order to familiarize with the benefits of utilizing AS9100 series standards.
Accomplishments • Mapping of AQAP 2110 and – 9100 complete • Draft input provided to – 9100 writing team • Coordination with NATO begun • Outreach communication with Americas and European agencies begun
