  3. 3 Jane Spence is a successful educational professional who stays up to date with educational development.

  4. 4 Jane Spence served as the chief of secondary schools, in the district of Columbia public schools from 2017 to 2018. She supervised instructional superintendents (principal Supervisors) of 34 high schools.

  5. 5 Jane Spence's achievements include leading urban district high schools to an aggregate 10% increase (from 2015 to 2017) in high school student achievement on PARCC (ELA) as Deputy Chief of School.

  6. 6 She was recognized as the principal of the year for the state of Maryland. She also raised advanced placement participation from 25% to 38% as a principal of a 3000 student school. Previously she was named as the teacher of the year for Gibbs High School (Florida).

  7. 7 Jane Spence earned Bs in English education- special Ed, Minor, from the Florida State University in 1994. Following this, she earned MA in school administration and supervision from the New York University in 1996.

  8. 8 She also earned EdD in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Maryland in 2015.
