Resources of Late 1600-1700's Africa Large Area= Many Resources: - Salt - Gold - Ivory - Metal (copper)
- Salt: traded in the desert areas. - Gold: traded in Western Africa. - Ivory, tortoise shell, etc as well. Based on Trade - Ghana and Togo (Modern day names) - Trading gold, ivory, and kola nuts were a key for the empires. - Was powerful w/ strong military. Empires Based On Trade
