Why did I choose ICI? • I always wanted a technical career but pharmaceutical industry never appealed • Went to a session like this at Durham where ICI presented and put in an application afterwards • At assessment centre I preferred the feel of ICI to other organisations that I was applying to • I wouldn’t still be here after seven years if I wasn’t enjoying it!
My Experiences As a PhD Recruit • 2002 : Joined ICI after finishing PhD at Durham • 2002 – 2004 : Two years on graduate training programme • 2004 – 2006 : Project Leader in Paints • 2006 – 2008 : Laboratory Manager for Woodcare • 2008 to date : Technical Manager Trim/Woodcare
My Career Ambitions • I would quite like my bosses job in the next 5-10 years and his car:
