Wolfram Alpha Honors Project Sara Piket
Preliminary Research • Trials and Tribulations • Not many free aps • Initial thought was MatLab • Discovery of Wolfram • Math genius
Beginning The first thing that I did was explore the website. I learned a few little secrets that Wolfram was hiding in plain site.
Teaching a Fellow Student After completing a little bit of preliminary research about WolframAlpha, I began to teach it to another student that it could be useful to.
Teaching! Introduction • This is Levi Gallant, a student at Mesquite High School that is currently enrolled in Dual Credit Classes through CGCC. • His major in college will be chemistry, which uses quite a few of the same classes I am taking for my engineering degree Point
Exploration • To teach Levi WolframAlpha, I simply explained the different features it has and delved a little further into how to enter equations.
Continuation • The first thing he did was change the background color. • I showed him the random button, which allows site-users to view random math problems or tidbits of information.
Graphing And Math Problems • One of the most useful features that WolframAlpha has is its math engine. • The site can graph in 3 dimensions and help solve problems from all levels of math, it does not cut out at Calculus 1 like a lot of other math help websites.
Last Few Items We viewed information sorted by topic And then explored a few bottom images
Conclusion Wolfram is an extremely helpful web tool! I strongly recommend its use to anybody that takes math classes or just wants to pick up a few new pieces of information.
