Definition: Telepathology allows consultations between pathologists and other professionals groups (institutes) around the world, consequently making a collaboration that, once together, they will work on the focus. Introduction
It is necessary that the person who selects and transmits the histological images at the sending center is a competent professional pathologist with basic knowledge in pathology informatics. • At the receiving center there is also a pathologist (telepathologist) who receives the electronic images and performs their interpretation and diagnosis, based on the images and clinical information supplied. • The telepathologist sends a report back with the final result, also using telecommunication means creating collaboration between the medics. How does it works?

Features considered: • The interaction and the collaboration between physicians is a faster process ( sending/feedback) • Helps medical resources that is not available for detailed analysis • Support the profissional who does not have an large experience • Allows multiple simultaneous analysis of various parts of the world, from different views • otherwrise: • The medical stuff is not accessible to all • There is not a total image privacity/security The points of Collaboration TelePathology
