  2. Chhath festival in India, also known as Surya Puja is dedicated to the god of the sun and is usually eight days after the festival of lights Diwali. Believers fast and offer to God the water, milk and fruit at sunrise and sunset.

Hindu believers pray to the sun during the Chhath festival on the shores of Lake Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad on  Chhath festival, also known as Surya Pooja (worship of the sun) passes in the eastern part of India. People worship the sun and water gods, eight days after the festival of lights Diwali.
