Single Signon Setup and Configuration • Portal setup • Add content provider URL path using Data Mover • Financials – portal_cprv_fscm840.dms • Learning Solutions – portal_cprv_ls800.dms • Human Resources – portal_cprv_hrms800.dms • Example • UPDATE PSNODEURITEXT SET URI_TEXT = ‘https://eaglefn.coppin.edu/psc/csfnprd/’ where MSGNODENAME = ‘ERP’ and URI_TYPE = ‘CN’

  7. Single Signon Setup and Configuration • Portal (cont.) • Rename Default Local Node – portal_node_rename_840.dms (recommend using database name) • Setup Authentication Password in Node Definition

  8. Single Signon Setupand Configuration • HR/SA (Version 8) • Setup Portal node definition and authentication password via Application Designer • Setup Portal node as trusted node (PeopleTools > Maintain Security > Setup > Single Signon)

Single Signon Setupand Configuration • Financials (Version 8.4) • Setup Portal node definition (PeopleTools > Portal > Node Definition) • Configure authentication password • On Portal content tab, enter Content URI Text and Portal URI Text • Example: • Content URI Text – https://eagleportal.coppin.edu/psc/cspaprd/ • Portal URI Text - https://eagleportal.coppin.edu/psp/cspaprd/ • Setup Portal node definition as trusted node (PeopleTools > Security > Security Objects > Single Signon)

HTTPS / Load BalancingSetup and Configuration • Tips: • Needed to remove hashing from load balancing configuration for images to display properly • Content Links • From Portal homepage, Portal web server needs to communicate with content provider web server (Financials and HR/SA). • From Portal menu, Portal application server needs to communicate with content provider web server (Financials and HR/SA)

Integration with MicrosoftExchange 2003 • Need to apply Bundle #8 and latest ASP files • Create asp folder and copy files to Outlook Web Access (OWA) server • Enable forms-based authentication on Exchange server • Setup local login rights for each user on OWA server • Made student domain the default; configured each employee user id to access employee domain

  15. Integration with 3rd party systems • Portal Account Sign-on Utility • Setup for websites using simple post signon • Need to provide following info: • URL • Username • Password • Additional fields as required

  18. Future Plans • LDAP • configure Portal to access campus provisioning system (eliminate PS password) • Exchange • use provisioning system to keep username/password in-sync • Blackboard (2 options): • Customization - java authenticator • LDAP with provisioning system
