Scholastic Kiwanis Literacy Partnerships History Three years ago, Scholastic met with Kiwanis International office in Indianapolis to learn more about how together they would be able to form a more constant, national partnership that would make it easier for clubs like yours to gain access to Scholastic Books and Scholastic Research-Based Literacy Programs to help you enhance your efforts around promoting reading in your community The Kiwanis and Scholastic partnership was launched at the New Orleans Conference in 2012 and all are happy to say that it is going extremely well So today I’ll tell you about our 1st KYD’S Project Kiwanis Youth Development & Scholastic (KYDS)

Scholastic Kiwanis Literacy Partnerships Kids are Quitting School Last year 1.3 million children dropped out of school • 7,222 drop out every school day in the US • In the time it takes us to conduct this meeting today, 1,200 kids will drop out!
