  2. You are now part of the greatest class in the history of classes You are a HIGGINS HERO!!!

  3. Remember this saying: I’m not a ZERO, I’m a HIGGINS HERO

  4. You will have a great time this year and you will learn LOTS AND LOTS of important things.

  5. You will also have LOTS and LOTS of FUN.

  6. You will learn how to read really hard books(easy ones, too.)

  7. How to figure out words you’ve never seen before Like: humungous,brilliant and extraordinary

  8. How to understand the meaning of a story

  9. . . . and you will love it even more than eating pizza.

  10. You will learn how to WRITE with the pointed end of the pencil . . . . .

  11. . . . . and will be able to write GREAT stories

  12. with TONS of DESCRIBING words Like: humongous,brilliant, andextraordinary

  13. You will get to learn new things in math, like:

  14. How to add and subtract 123,456,789 + 876,543,210 854,321,865 - 732,110,452

  15. How to regroup (I’ll explain that later)

  16. How to solve story problems There were 3 flying purple people eaters in the pumpkin patch. 2 of them ran off to join the circus, how many were left?

  17. How to multiply 2 X 2 = 4 4 X 2 = 10 5 X 5 = 25 10 X 4 = 40 2 X 4 = 8 10 X 8 = 80

  18. How to measure things

  19. You will also get to learnabout different shapes.

  20. You will learn about regular people who became Heroes

  21. You will learn about your community

  22. and your place in it.

  23. You will learn about gravity

  24. You will learn how to be a HIGGINS HERO

  25. You will get to sing

  26. and do art projects

  27. Do we get to do homework?

  28. Yes, you do!

  29. YAY!!!

  30. What about class work?

  31. You get lots of that, too.

  32. YAY!!!
