  7. 3 What do both bread and vegetables provide and why do our stomachs need this? They provide fibre , which our stomachs need to work well 4 For a balanced diet, it is important not to eat a lot of sweets or to drink lots of very sweet tea. Why? Because we get a lot of sugar from other sources , so we don’t need extra sugar
