2 Types of Cellular Reproduction What are the 2 types? Mitosis And… Meiosis
Mitosis A process of cellular division where one cell divides producing 2 identical cells.
Meiosis A process of cellular division where one cell divides producing 4 different cells.
Mitosis In this lesson we will look closely at each step of mitosis: • Interphase • Prophase • Metaphase • Anaphase • Telophase
Interphase This is the stage where the cell develops and prepares for cellular division.
Prophase The nuclear envelope breaks down, chromatin forms into chromosomes, and spindles start to form.
Metaphase The chromosomes align in the center of the cell.
Anaphase Paired chromosomes pull to opposite poles of the cells and the cells starts to split.
Telophase Chromosomes condense together at the opposite poles and the cell splits into 2 cells.
