Your first week here • Your Academic Adviser & Student Support Co-ordinators • Source of help and advice throughout your time here • Personal & Professional Development module (U54005) • Can help with module choice and programme planning • Can help you with other issues that affect you • Your first formal meeting with Academic Adviser • Thursday/Friday of this week (sign up this afternoon) • Bring a photo and completed form (they will keep both) • Bring your programme printout and printed copy of your timetable for this semester (from PIP) • Your second meeting • Week 4 or 5 of this semester • Discussion of progress on your modules

Getting the most out of Brookes • Get involved – being a student rep, Bacchus student committee, OSHM events, University clubs and societies • Stay engaged – class attendance, regular meetings with AA, tutorials with academic tutors, check emails • Expand your network – other students on your course (not just first years), your academic tutors and the support staff in OSHM, attend networking events locally and in London • Take all opportunities – push yourself forward, engage in volunteering, competitions, part-time work • Be proactive – take the initiative, do your prep and research before class/meetings/SWE interviews
