HW: 5 Minute Study Strategy • Tuesday – Unit 4, flashcards 6-10 in class, activity (TBA) HW: 5 MS Strategy • Wednesday – Write 6 Sentences, one vocab word in a sentence, 3 sentences gerunds, 3 sentences infinitives • Thursday – Word Maps words 1-8 • Friday – Spelling Pre-test word 1-10 (classwork grade) HOMEWORK: The 5 Minute Study Strategy must be done EVERY night .

First AR test is due November 19th
Week of Writing • Monday – Funnel it Intro (It will really happen this time ), Quarterly Skills Summaries: Collect Success Strategies, distribute Active Reading, Writing Tools, PowerWriting • Tuesday – Timed essay: In class, persuasive, apply writing standards • Wednesday – Activity: Writing to a Prompt – Model, independent practice • Thursday – Lesson: Using Incorporation to generate a thesis/assertion – Model, independent practice • Friday – Lesson: Types of intros, Model, Understanding check up incorporation ----> assertion/thesis, and guided creation of model introduction HOMEWORK: Work on Quarterly Summaries EVERY NIGHT!!! Quarterly summaries are all due by FRIDAY.
