8 Road Map • Short strategic document outlining the steps and timing of UNDAF preparation process jointly agreed by the Government and the UN System • Identifies support needed from Regional Offices and Headquarters • Ensures a full consultative process • Ensures full alignment to national planning cycle • Marks the beginning of UNDAF formulation process
9 Country Analysis Strategic analysis of the country situation which identifies priority development areas and needs of the country where the UN may provide support to national authorities. Options: • UN participation in government-ledanalyticalwork and use of governmentanalysis. • Complementary UN-supportedanalysis. • Full CCA.
10 StrategicPlanning • Conduct a Strategic Prioritization Exercise (such as SPR) – Joint exercise of UN System, Government and other stakeholders • Select priorities and outcomes • Develop an UNDAF Results Matrix (outcome level or outcome and output level)
11 Monitoring & Evaluation • M&E Plan jointly designed by UN, Government and other patners. • UNDAF annualreviewconductedby UN and Government. • UNDAF ProgressReporttoNationalAuthorities. • UNDAF Evaluation.
