  5. PA General Info • Our goal – Support our scholars and Cornerstone values through organizing, participating, and funding events • Meetings for PA Officers – 2nd Wed of every month • 6:30pm – 8:00pm in the MPR • Townhall meetings – Sept, Nov, Feb, May • 6:30pm – 7:30pm in the MPR

  7. CAPS PA Financial Status • Previous PA Balance: $14,009 • Total Expense since last PA meeting: $234 • Total Revenue since last PA meeting: $50 • Ending PA Balance: $13,825

CAPS PA Financial Status • Budget & Event Request • 5th Grade Fieldtrip to Santa Clara University - $571.30 • Class size = 30 scholars • Current allocation of $700 for Walden West transportation • Plan to visit SJSU in the Spring (additional budget request?) • School-wide fundraising – Brax Spirit Cups • A pack of 4 cups sells for $18 • $7.25 profit on each sale goes to your organization • No upfront costs and no inventory • Forecast: 350 scholars sell 2 products each = $5,075 in revenue

Jog-a-thon Event • Largest fundraising event • Friday, October 17 • 14 classes at approximately 420 scholars • Purpose • Sponsors established grade level fieldtrips • Jog-a-thon Committee • PA Officers • PE Teacher • Homeroom Parents • Details • Marketing & Communication • Collection of Funds • Day of Event Set-up • Timeline • Sept 15 to Sept 25– finalize committee and complete majority of the planning • Monday, Sept 29 – send out Jog-a-thon packet (letter, sponsor sheet, and collection envelope) • Friday, Oct 17– CAPS 5thAnnual Jog-a-thon! • Friday, Oct 31 – DUE DATE to turn in all pledges/donations • Saturday, Nov 1 – CAPS PA meet to count all pledges/donations turned in • Friday, Nov 7 –Jog-a-thon results will be announced during Family Movie Night

  19. Jog-a-thon School-wide Goal • Goal • Each class receives 10% of total funds collected • Collect $1500 or more, receive an increase rate of $20% • DUE DATE to turn in all pledges/donations: Friday, October 31
