  3. Drop-off • No earlier than 7:30am • Follow Traffic Flow • Drop off at the back of the school • No speeding and no cell phones • Parking: only in designated areas in the back and in the front of the school • Students enter through the back door to the gym • Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 7:50am in the cafeteria (upstairs) • Students are released between 7:45am and 7:50am to go to class

  4. Dismissal/Pick-up • Follow Traffic Flow • No speeding and no cell phones • Students are picked up at the back of the school in designated areas • Parking-only in designated areas • Car plates-needed to pick up ALL students for ALL grade levels • K-3 - 2:50pm • 4-8 – 3:00pm • 9 – 3:50pm • Pick up within 15 minutes of dismissal time

Building Policies • Parents must sign-in at the Front Office and receive a visitor’s pass before entering the building (ID) • Parents must have a specific purpose to enter the school • Volunteering-specific purpose • Lunch with child • We kindly ask that parents do not “hang out” in the school lobby

  6. Classroom Observations • Parents must submit a written request to administration at least 24 hours in advance • Request must state the date and time of the desired observation as well as the reason for the observation • Parents must wait for administration to contact them to inform them if their request has been approved • Observations are limited to one class period

  7. Attendance • A note from a parent must be presented to the Front Office the day a student returns from an absence (even if the parent already spoke to the front office or their child’s teacher on the day of the absence) • The note should state the date(s) of the absence(s) and the reason for the absence • If a note is not received within 3 days of the child returning to school, the absence will be marked unexcused

  8. Tardies The school’s tardy policy has been developed to emphasize the importance of each student arriving on time to school every day and remaining in the classroom for the entire period. Learning personal responsibility by arriving to school and class on time is an integral part of the school’s standard of excellence, which helps prepare students for excellence.

  9. Tardies Students should be inside the classroom by 8:00am. A student arriving after this time must report to the front office and obtain a tardy slip. Tardiness to school will be unexcused, unless the student arrives to campus late for one of the following reasons: • Personal illness • Attendance at a required court appointment • Appointment with a doctor, dentist or other professional For a tardy to be excused, the student must present a note from the parent explaining the student’s late arrival. The school may also require a written note from a doctor, dentist or other professional.

Consequences • 10 or more points – 1st After School Detention • 20 or more points – Saturday Detention • 25 or more points – 1 day In School Suspension (ISS) • 50 or more points – 1 day Out of School Suspension (OSS) • 70 or more points – 3 days Out of School Suspension (OSS) • 75 or more points – possible expulsion

  14. PRS • Positive Reward System • Perfect dress code • Having all supplies during a random supply check • Helping a fellow student without being asked • Being a positive role model • Behavioral improvement

Cell Phones and Electronics • Cell phones should be turned off and put away (in their locker) from the time a student arrives at school until the time they leave campus • No electronics such as cameras, iPods, iPads, gaming systems, and other such devices are allowed at school • Any cell phones or electronics that are in violation of school rules will be confiscated • Returned only to a parent and will be charged a fee • 1st offense $10 • 2nd offense $20 • 3rd offense $40 and device kept until the last day of school

  19. Pants • Uniform Pants • Khaki or navy blue (no black) • No jean-style pants • No cargo pants • No holes or tears • Must be worn with a belt

  20. Pants • Pants may not be baggy or sag, or have a low waistline • Pants must be worn properly at the waist • Pant legs may not be rolled up

  25. Shorts • Uniform-style shorts • K-8th grade only (no high school students may wear shorts) • Khaki or navy blue (no black) • No cargo shorts • Must be knee length (must touch the knee cap) • Must be worn with a belt

  29. Footwear • No sandals, mules, “Uggs” (of “Ugg-style), high heels, boots or Crocs • No heelies (shoes with wheels) or illuminated shoes are allowed • All shoes must have backs

  34. Free Dress Days • Jeans • T-shirts/blouses • Must have sleeves • Capris and long shorts are acceptable (shorts must touch the knee cap) • Long dresses and skirts are allowed, but they must fall below the knee cap (even if leggings are worn underneath)

Outerwear • These rules apply to ALL days (including Free Dress Days) • No hats, caps, bandannas, or other headgear • Students may wear jackets and sweaters without hoods (any color) • NO HOODIES • No coats worn in the classroom • Dark blue, black, or white long sleeved shirts may be worn under the uniform top

Personal Appearance • These rules apply to ALL days (including Free Dress Days) • No facial or body piercings • No clip-on jewelry (earrings, nose-rings, etc) • Boys may not wear earrings • Girls may wear stud earrings (no dangling or hoop earrings) • No tattoos (temporary or permanent) • No extreme hairstyles (Mohawk, spiked hair, etc)

  46. Personal Appearance • No extreme hair colors • Boys’ hair may not pass the neck • Sideburns may be to the tip of the earlobe • No sunglasses • No wallets with chains • Girls may wear tasteful make-up and nail polish that is not distracting
