December 2004 updates to spectrum allocation criteria for RF channels, including changes to band limits and capacity classification. Issues addressed include channel plans harmonization and spectral efficiency requirements.

  2. SRSP 303.7 Changes: • Removed minimum RF channel growth requirement Issues: • Other antenna masks • Treatment of interstitial (grandfathered) systems in Appendix A

  3. SRSP 305.9 Changes: • Changed lower band limit from 5915 to 5925 MHz • Removed interstitial high capacity channel plan • Removed analogue standards • Removed minimum RF channel growth requirement • Added medium capacity (whole band) • Added low capacity (part of band)

SRSP 305.9 (cont’d) Issues: • Harmonize channel plans with FCC for medium and low capacity systems • Keep low capacity channels in high capacity guard band • Minimum channel width • Minimum spectral efficiency for medium and high capacity systems (4.4 or 3 bit/s/Hz) • Other antenna masks • New Appendix for existing interstitial systems

SRSP 306.4 Changes: • Added low-capacity (LC) systems throughout the band 6525-6875 MHz • Added a table of channel assignments for HC, MC and LC systems Issues: • Additional transmit/receive separation for LC systems • Channel bandwidth for LC systems • Minimum spectral efficiency for the different systems • Other antenna masks
