  1. Why Test the Air Quality? The air you breathe may seem clean but that isn’t the truth. Every year, a huge amount of toxic substances and contaminants are released into the atmosphere. You may not feel the toxicity when you breathe in but your lungs sure do. Everyone seems to think of outdoor air pollution as the only threat. But what about indoor pollution? That is equally harmful to us, in fact, it can prove to be a worse threat. The causes of indoor pollution vary depending on region, house, etc. But if you are concerned about the air quality insides your home and offices, it is probably time to get a full air quality inspection done. In this article, we will talk about some reasons why you should test the air quality. •Combustion Gases and particles from combustion are one of the major indoor air pollutants. This includes stoves, furnaces, tobacco smoke, fireplaces, etc. Most of these things are used on a regular basis in everyone’s homes and hence a regular indoor air quality testing is a must. •Asbestos Asbestos is used in building materials, insulators, etc. But its popularity has seen a dip in recent years since learning that inhaling its fibers may cause illnesses like lung cancer and mesothelioma. Given the health hazard involved with asbestos it is a good idea to test the air quality and perform asbestos remediation if required. •Mold Mold often happens to exist in damp areas. Exposure to mold over time may lead to skin irritation, wheezing, asthma, etc. It is essential to detect the presence of mold in order to get rid of it. One of the ways to do it is indoor air quality testing. There are also various home air tests available to perform DIY tests. •Dust and rodent dropping Exposure to dust and rodent dropping could lead to allergic reactions, asthma, and some other health-related issues. Home air tests could sniff out these contaminants. Hiring a professional to perform the test is a wise idea. The indoor air quality testing cost depends on the company you choose. Performing regular air quality checks may seem like a waste of resources at times, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
