Federal Employee Health Benefit • If elected - coverage continued for 24 months while in nonpay status • DoD covered full premium • Options • Continue coverage • Terminate – while covered by Transitional Tricare • Reinstate previously terminated coverage • Delay reinstatement - HRO Form 92-1 Important – Check LES to ensure premiums are properly deducted Check LES to ensure premium debt is not deducted while on LWOP-US while covered by a contingency order
Federal Employee’s Group Life Insurance • Continued for 12 months at no cost • After 12 months – Terminated • Reinitiated upon Return to Duty
NGAUSIT • Call (800) 955-7736 ext. 23155 to arrange payment of life insurance • Disability insurance stops and is reinstated upon return
Thrift Savings Plan • May make retroactive contributions • Based on current TSP Form 1 • Receive package from HRO upon return to duty • TSP Form 41- forwarded to TSP upon your return (HRO responsibility) Important – Check your LES to ensure loan payments are being deducted from your tech pay TSP Information: 1-TSP-YOU-FRST (1-877-968-3778)
Effect on Retirement • May make a military deposit (buy back) • No interest on deposit, if paid in full before end of third year from date of return to duty • Rules of deposit • CSRS before 1 Oct 1982 • CSRS after 30 Sep 1982 • FERS – Must complete Deposit is placed into your retirement account to ensure no break in creditable service POC: MSgt Jamie Tyler (717) 861-6980
Additional Information • Upon Restoration – All actions contingent upon Return to Duty will be processed with established effective date (retroactive) • 5 business days Admin Leave is available upon returning to a technician status
