Swanwick Hall School: The Budget The school budget is the amount of money, which we have available to spend on educating students each year. This includes the money, which we spend on all staff/ resources, which contribute to making the school function effectively for students.
Where does our school budget come from?The government fund the Local Authority (Derbyshire County Council): Age Weighted Pupil Unit- a sum of money will be allocated to the school for each student.A direct school grant.A specialist school grant.YPLA: Fund the Sixth Form.
How much money do we get each year? £5.3 million£780,000 additional income (grants).£62,000 from the previous budget.Total: £5,440,000
Who decides how the money is spent?Mr Fawcett, Mrs Marston and the Governors, with the support of the Senior Leadership Team and other staff .The students also have an important role in deciding how the money is spent.
