What is Traceroute Command? The Traceroute (also known as tracert) command is an utility program created for demonstrating the time it usually takes for a packet of data to move between a personal computer and a desired destination domain or IP address. The information presented after operating a tracert command / traceroute command are basically a listing of the “hops” that data packets bring on their route to the selected domain or IP address. This tracert command is generally linked with the troubleshooting of interconnection issues.
