SENCO CONCRETE PINNERS Product Information Presentation
GENERAL • General information • What fastener to use in what concrete: Thickness of Material + Penetration Depth = Fastener Length
GENERAL • Cubicalpressure • Cube of 150x150x150 mm • Testeduntilitbreaks tomeausurestrength • 2nd number in the concrete classC16/20 • A cube is strongerthan a cilinder, therefor a smaller object is used.
GENERAL • Cylindricalpressure • Cilinder of 150x300 mm • Testeduntilit breaks tomeausurestrength • 1st number in the concrete classC16/20 • A cylinderis weakerthan a cube.
GENERAL • Whatfastenertouse in what concrete • In steel structurebeams (max 650 N/mm2): alwaysuse premium pins. • Max penetrationdepth = 6.5 mm Premium pins advised
GENERAL • Fastener range various concrete classes
TO KEEP IN MIND • On site concreting can lead to more pebble-stones on the bottom than on the top side. In such a case, on the ceiling side you need premium pins while on the floor side to can use regular pins.
TO KEEP IN MIND In soft concrete the scoring rate is high. A normal pin is advised. In hard concrete the nail can either bent or deform. This has an influance on the scoring rate. Therefor the premium pin is advised for usage in hard concrete.

CERTIFICATES? There is no specific standard for concrete fixing. Only test certificates of competetion exist.
NAIL COMPARISON • Overview Senco concrete pins as analternativeforPaslode:
APPLICATIONS Metal(stud) on steel
APPLICATIONS Metal on steel
APPLICATIONS Wood on concrete In concrete minimum distancefrom the edge is > 76,2 mm. Minimum distancebetweennails> 102 mm.
APPLICATIONS Metal(stud) on concrete
APPLICATIONS Metal on stone
WASHER HOLDER • For fastening single shot attachementsPins can fix severalattachementslike: • Washers • Metal clips • Plastic clips • Perfo band
APPLICATIONS Metal on brick. When using the attachment and a washer, the metal profile is still adjustable to make it vertical aligned. After that, fix the profile in the corners.
APPLICATIONS Plastic on concrete.
APPLICATIONS For all these you can of course also use a Pneumatic version.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN? • Nailnotdeepenough • Nailtoo long • DOD setting not correct (SGP40S/L) • Increasepressure (SAP40) • Nailtoodeep • Nailtoo short • DOD setting not correct (SGP40S/L) • Reducepressure (SAP40)
WHAT CAN HAPPEN? • Nail bends • Hard concrete / big pebble stones • Steel reinforcement direct under surface • Hard surface (steel) • Nail not deep enough in steel • Steel too hard
WHAT CAN HAPPEN? • Nail won’t stay in material • Base material not thick enough(> 5mm) • Nail breaks • Base material too hard • Nail too long
FAQ’s Q Fit the Senco pins in other tools A Yes, they fit (except for Hilti or unknown brands) Q Fit Senco gas in other tools A Yes, it fits (PC1254 is universal), gas fuel is lubricant and gives no negative result (even more shots are possible) Q Which nail to be used for which application A Use the table (advice, always test on site) Q What service needs to be done on the tools? A Tool needs to be proper managed, and needs cleaning (interval depending on use)
