The parsley dipped in salt water represents the tears of the Israelites when they were slaves in Egypt.
The horseradish reminds us of the bitter life that the Israelites had in Egypt.
The charoset reminds us of the mortar which the Israelites had to mix to make buildings.
CHAROSET We grated apple and mixed this with lemon juice for our Charoset
