The Passover is Fulfilled in the Kingdom of God, Luke 22:16 • Fulfill: Accomplish, carry to the end, complete • Jesus fulfilled the Law and Prophets (Passover), Matt. 5:17-18 • Blood of our Passover lamb (Christ) grants deliverance from sin, Rom. 10:4; 1 Pet. 1:19 • Note: Just as no bone of the Passover lamb was broken, none of the bones of Jesus were broken, Exo. 12:46; Jno. 19:36 (Psa. 34:20)

The Passover is Fulfilled in the Kingdom of God, Luke 22:16 • OT Passover: Deliverance from bondage • OT Passover Feast: Memorial of that event • Christ our Passover: God delivers sinners from sin and death by His blood • Result: A kingdom of blood-bought saints, Rev. 1:5-6 (5:9-10) • We keep a feast daily, 1 Cor. 5:8 • Each week, Christians remember the “blood of the new covenant”, Matt. 26:28

The Lord’s Supper, Luke 22:18-20 • Jesus communes with His disciples in a new memorial meal in His Father’s kingdom, Matt. 26:29; 1 Cor. 10:16; 11:20 • Israel of God eats the Lord’s Supper, not the Lord’s Passover, Lk. 22:18 • The church, Gal. 6:16; 4:28; Rom. 9:6-8 • Born again, Jno. 3:3, 5 • God’s family eats the Lord’s Supper every week, Acts 20:7

  8. The Passover Mighty Hand of God -Saw the blood and saved Israel -Punished Egypt Mighty Hand of God -Sees the blood and saves (Acts 22:16) -Will punish sinners
