  2. Tip #1 Plan Ahead When out for a double date, always consider the ideas of the other couple so as to avoid any conflict. There are several factors to consider: place, time, and budget. Make sure that the place you chose is somewhere that all of you have agreed on. If you have been doing this regularly, you can alternately choose the place you are going to. For example, you and your boyfriend decided on the place and activity you are doing on date number one. On date number two, it is the other couples' time to pick where you will go and what you will do.

  3. Time is also another thing to consider since not all of us have the same schedule of day to day activities. Choose a time that all of you are free of responsibilities and commitments so that you do not have anything to worry about while you are on a date. Budget can be a very sensitive topic to discuss about. Thus, it is highly important to consider this whenever you are planning a double date. Make sure that the venue and activity you choose is not to costly

  4. Tip #2 Do Not Be Late Convey the correct date and time of the date. We mentioned earlier that time is an important factor to consider when on a date so it is important to arrive on time. On the other hand, if ever you find yourself running late, inform the other couple about this so that they do not have to end up waiting for a long time.

  5. Tip #3 Choose the Topic to Talk About Try picturing this out. There are two colleagues went out on a double date with their respective boyfriends. These girls ended up talking the entire evening about the politics in their office with which their beaus do not have any clue about. A successful date not often equates to a good night with good conversation. Thus, when out on a double date, choose common topics on which everyone present can talk about. This could be anything from the latest Hollywood gossips, sports, and current events. In addition to this, it is also important to keep the conversation on the light side, unless you are very close friends with the other couple. But in case you are not, try avoiding topics that are sensitive and too personal such as one's salary, rent, and the like.

  6. Tip #4 Avoid Getting too intimate One downside of going out on a double date is that you cannot be all too lovey dovey with your sweetheart. It is OK to flirt with your beau but there should be a limit. Partners should avoid getting too intimate or touchy-feely that might cause discomfort to the other people. Some might even find a certain display of affection a bit embarrassing or offending. Another important thing to keep in mind here is to not flirt with the other person's boyfriend. Even if you are under the influence of alcohol, such behaviour is not an excuse. This can offend your partner and the other couple, too.
